MOSES MOVES UP! – Goals and objectives helped him to succeed

WHEN Moses Munasi started his business from his bedroom, he had no idea it would one day be a success.

Today, his IT solutions and business branding company, Munasi Consulting, is his pride and joy. Speaking to Daily Sun, Moses (26) said the business was driven by his love for IT. “I saw an opportunity to service the country through IT. I wanted to reduce unemployment and poverty,” he said.

Moses didn’t let challenges such as not having enough money in the early stages of his business get him down. “I had goals and objectives and I was determined,” he said. Moses studied BCom Econometrics at the University of Pretoria. After a year of operating from his home, he joined Shanduka Black Umbrellas because he was determined to grow his business.

Shanduka provides its 100% black-owned small, medium and micro enterprise clients with a -foundation to achieve success when starting and running a business. This is done through training, mentoring and subsidised infrastructure and support. This has helped Moses a lot and it was through the programme that he got a chance to be selected to participate in the Micro Enterprise Development Organisation trade programme.

Moses visited the United Kingdom for 10 days and secured trade leads and partnership agreements. He was honoured with the Shanduka Black ¬Umbrellas award for the best business ambassador this year.
